September in the Dallas – Fort Worth area signals the start of our favorite fall activities, and maybe more importantly, the end of triple digit weather! There’s no shortage of pumpkins, petting zoos, corn mazes, and fun photo ops in North Texas during the fall months. Whether you’re searching for fall fun near your home, or your family is up for some short day trips to visit family farms, you’re bound to find a fun option on this list of the 25 best pumpkin patches in Dallas Fort Worth!

1. Autumn at the Arboretum

  • Features: The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden transforms into a fall fairy tale during Autumn at the Arboretum! One visit and you’ll understand why it’s been named one of “America’s Best Pumpkin Festivals” by Fodor’s Travel, MSN, and Country Living. The arboretum is adorned with more than 100,000 pumpkins, squashes, and gourds. You’ll also find more than 150,000 fall blooming plants. Their pumpkin village features pumpkin houses, a children’s maze, and beautiful fall photo ops. This year’s theme is “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”, so Peanuts and the gang will join in on the fun! Autumn at the Arboretum is fun for the whole family.

2. Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze

3. Pumpkins on the Prairie at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church

  • Features: This fall festival located at Howell Farms features over 5,000 hand carved real and artificial pumpkins! You’ll also find real-life fire dancers, food and snacks for purchase (try some pumpkin pie!), and kids activities.
